Behind Local Skate

A fair question might come to mind, and you might look at this with doubt:
“What is this again, and why would I buy anything from here?”

Local Skater, this shop, my creations – I know they are still small and unknown, not hyped-up brands.
But to me, they have always meant more than just a T-shirt, a trendy accessory, or figures and shapes painted on canvas.

This is my path, a way to show what I think and what I feel. Sometimes it takes the form of a painting, other times a slogan, or a logo. Every piece carries the DIY punk spirit and the raw energy of skateboarding culture that I grew up with.

This is our little rebellion, our first wings. With Local Skater and my art I don’t want to follow or create trends. These works come from thoughts – from feelings shaped by today’s world, or from old, forgotten memories that resurface. Strongly influenced by the DIY, punk and skate spirit of the 90s and 2000s, they are driven by the passion to make the impossible possible. Sometimes it’s a color, sometimes a shape, an experience, or a memory that brings them to life.
